TURNER, Reta Marion

Reta Marion Turner - formerly Reta Sokolowsky (nee Norton) - a faithful servant of Jesus, passed peacefully from this world into the next on Saturday August 24th, 2019 surrounded by family.

Reta, born into the Norton family on December 7th, 1922 grew up in Cressy alongside siblings Gordon, Mary and Rex. She spent her life devoted to Christ and sharing his good word with family, friends and the community. She, along with her second husband Glendon Turner, were founding members of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Bloomfield where she served as both a Sunday School Teacher and missions advocate. Reta embraced her 8 grandchildren in a model of God's love and will be missed by Jennifer, Tracy, Lesley, Tiffany, Teresa, Adam, Aaron and Michael. Her 11 great-grandchildren, affectionately referring to her as GG, will remember her as patient and kind.
